Appendix 2: How to do a Material Test

⚠Please make sure before engraving: 

Follow the user manual to install ComMarker Studio and assemble the machine with the computer.

Remove the lens cap.

Power on the engraver.

1. Draw a shape using the “Drawˮ function. The shape should be small.

2. Click “Arrayˮ in the top-left corner and Select “Material Test Arrayˮ from the dropdown menu.

3. In the pop-up window, set the parameter combinations you want to test, along with number of Row × Number of columns.

If you hope to test settings for cutting, leave the fill section unclicked.

If you hope to test settings for engraving, click the fill section.

Click “Confirmˮ to generate the Material Test Array.

4.Place the material on the engraving bed and land the left red dot on it, then Press focus.

Note：If your material is transparent, place a piece of paper on the engraving area so that the red dot lands on the paper surface. Then perform the focusing operation.

5. Unclick Preview Contour and Click “Previewˮ to check the engraving area.

6. You can adjust size and location until the preview fits properly within your material area.

7.Once the preview is confirmed. Then click “Start (F2)ˮ to start the engraving process.

8.After the engraving is complete, remove the material and check the results.
