Please ensure the machine is powered off and both the data and power cables are unplugged before starting.
What You Need:
Allen wrench (or hex screwdriver bits / electric screwdriver with hex bits)
A new Laser Head
The USB Drive in the Upgrade Kit
Part 1: Remove the Laser Head
1.Disconnect all cables connected to the laser head. This includes the laser power cable, laser data cable, sensor cable and galvanometer cable.
2.Unscrew the 4 pcs M5×8 pan head screws beneath the laser head to detach the Laser Head. Once all screws are removed, carefully take off the Laser Head.
Note: Hold the laser head firmly while loosening the screws to prevent it from tipping or falling.
Part 2: Install the New Laser Head
1.Position the new laser head on the laser head bracket. Secure it with the 4 pcs M5×8 pan head screws.
Note: Hold the laser head firmly while tightening to prevent it from tipping or misaligning.
2.Reconnect all cables to the new laser head, including the laser power cable, data cable, sensor cable, and galvanometer cable.
Part 3: Update Software Settings
1.Connect the Data Cable from the laser to the computer. Plug the machine into a suitable power source.
2.Double-check all connections: Light Cable, Cooling Fan Cable, Data Cable and any other previously disconnected components.
3.Power on the machine and verify that the laser head moves correctly.
4. Setting Field Lens and Sensor Range in the Software.
Note:
Before starting, insert the USB drive containing the field lens data images, and ensure the data is accessible for reference during the procedure.
Step 1: Connect the Device
Open ComMarker Studio, ensure it detects the laser engraver.
Step 2: Input data for the field lens shown in the dialog
Go to Device Setting → Field.
Enter the password: 123456.
Check the top-left of the Field dialog to see which field lens is shown (A or B).
Using the matching image on the USB, enter the corresponding field-lens parameters for the lens shown.
A Field Lens=70mm
B Field Lens=150/250mm
Click Confirm.
Step 3: Switch and input the other field lens
Switch to the other field lens with the button on the right corner (the one not yet configured).
Go to Device Setting → Field again.
Input the corresponding field lens data using the USB image.
Click Confirm.
Step 4: Set Sensor Range
Go to Device Setting → Others.
Input the sensor range according to your laser model:
10W laser: 100–400 mm
Step 5: Save Machine Data
Go to Menu → Param.
Click Save Parameters to save all new machine data to the laser.
5. Your machine is now ready to use. We recommend running a few test jobs to ensure everything is functioning correctly.
