Operating Omni XE with LightBurn

Download and install Lightburn software from the website.

Note: 

It is not compatible with our machine if your Lightburn version is lower than V1.3.01, please download a new version and reinstall.

And Lightburn is a paid software with 30 days free trial, you need to buy the license key for Galvo version.

1. Copy the folder “ComMarker Softwareˮ from the USB drive to the desktop.

2. Download the software for Windows or MacOS from the website:

3. Install the LightBurn software.

•For Windows: Double click the downloaded file “LightBurn.v2.0.02ˮ

Note: 

Click Yes if you are asked "Do you allow this application to make changes to your device?"

•For MAC: Double click the downloaded file “LightBurn.V2.0.02.dmgˮ, and drag the “LightBurnˮ icon to the “Applicationsˮ folder.

4. Click “Devicesˮ →“Create Manuallyˮ, and select “BSLFiberˮ and click “Nextˮ.

Note: 

Ensure the device is powered on and properly connected to the computer.

5. Skip the import of a configuration file and click “Nextˮ.

6. Rename the device if necessary, click the “mm / secˮ as the machine units and input the dimensions of the work area.

Note: 

For a 70×70mm lens, 70mm on both X-axis and Y-axis are the recommended values; For a 150×150mm lens, 150mm on both X-axis and Y-axis are the recommended values.

7.Click “Finishˮ and “OKˮ to complete the new device installation.

8.Ensure the newly added device is selected, and the laser status is "Ready"

9. Click “Device settingsˮ, and set “Galvo and Basic Settingsˮ and “Ports and Laser Settingsˮ as below, then it is ready to control the machine with the Lightburn.

Note: 

Enable "Galvo 2" is X Axis. Select "UV" as the laser type and "1" as the Door protect port. Set frequency range from 20 to 200 KHz and pulse range from 1 to 50 ns.

10. The optimal focal length for manual measurement should be 2mm less than the optimal focal length of your machine (written in your user manual). 

The measuring distance is the length from the lower edge of the laser head to the surface of the engraving material.
